December yard maintenance

Some of us are gifted with a green thumb and some of us need a little extra guidance, but we all want happy and healthy plants!

This time of year things can look a little messy, fall wind, leaves and rain have likely left you with a little clean up! It might seem easy to just look away and wait until spring pops up and then go back to your oasis but doing this can create the perfect environment for pests and diseases to get a hold of your greenery.

This is the time to make use of that yard waste bin in your driveway; collect leaf piles, cut back and prune perennials, and remove wasted annual stocks.

We have leaf hands, gloves, pruning shears and extra lawn waste bags to make this endeavor more manageable.

We also sell the Tilth Alliance’s “Maritime Northwest Garden Guide” which walks you through everything you need to do in your garden by month.

Remember brown is a color too!
