For more than 27 years, City People’s Garden Store has been committed to growing community by supporting the city that supports us. We have given tens of thousands of dollars in cash, plants, and other in-kind donations to dozens of nonprofits in the Seattle area. In the last few years, our priority giving areas are:
Youth – scholastic events, and environmental education programs that give young people an appreciation of the wonders of the outdoors.
Environment – We support nonprofits that promote a greener, healthier environment that improves Seattle’s quality of life now, and for future generations to enjoy. Additionally, the Garden Store is personally invested in ending the sale of plants on King County’s Noxious Weeds and Plants of Concern lists , and supports organizations that assist with invasive plant removal.
Health – City People’s donates to nonprofits that care for people struggling with illnesses.
Community – We give to organizations that build and support a more connected community.
With the impending close of the store (December 31st, 2016), we have had to reduce our donations and we no longer give gift cards. If you are looking for support for a program or a donation for a fund raiser or project you may fill out our Donation Request Form and submit your request by mail, email, or in person at our Madison store, but please understand if we cannot fulfill the request. We wish we could!
